Trophy Night & End of Season Dinner a Huge Success
The Club held its annual Trophy Night and End of Season dinner last Saturday evening.
And what a night it was!
Everyone agreed that it was the best one ever held, with a record turnout.
The evening began with the Happy Hour as members and guests gathered to celebrate the best of the best.
proceedings began with a welcome from President Peter Charkiewicz.
A minute’s silence was held for those we lost during the year, including Life Members Ella Morton and Margaret Anderson.
Everyone enjoyed the main course of delicious roast chicken and vegetables from Lisa and Lakeside Kitchen.
Proceedings got underway with a special presentation to Joe Lehane and Joseph Maiolo for the achievements at Sate level in the all Abilities Championships. Unfortunately Joseph was at the Dockers game!
The trophy presentations will be posted separately due to the size of both posts to cover the success of the evening.
A full round-up of all trophies will also be posted on the Club’s website.
Our thanks to our Patron Chris Tallentire MLA, business partners Hazel McGinty of Ray White, McGinty & Associates and Michelle Lennox of Bendigo Bank for their support and for presenting not only their own sponsored events, but that of other sponsors who were unable to attend.
Sincere thanks also to Life Members Maureen Dalton and Jean Pitter. Maureen sponsors the Saturday Ladies Pennant Team of the year and presented the Tuesday Ladies Pennant Team of the Year on behalf of Life member Ella Morton who passed away during the season.
Jean sponsors the Lady Bowler of the Year and also spoke of her long history with the Club.
Our thanks to Andrea Dunlop who presented Men’s Bowler of the Year plus the Men’s and Ladies Club Person of the Year on behalf of Amaroo Village.
