Ladies Triples Beats the Heat
The semis and finals of the Ladies Triples Championship were played in hot and humid conditions on Wednesday 13 November.
While the teams felt the heat as the temperature hovered around 36 degrees, they soldiered on.
Spectators were treated to excellent tight games, with all teams fighting hard for the medals.
The eventual winners were Rose Woodhouse, Gloria McDonald & Janice Nightingale.
Silver went to Beth Clark, Betty Buckingham & Cheryl Keighley.
The bronze was won by Iris Sharkey, Jean Boyne & Shirley Roper.
Runners up were Marianne Cameron, Margaret Frederickson & Sue Haley.
Unfortunately Leah Butler from sponsors Scenic Lake Estate was unable to attend, but sent her congratulations to the winners and said that they were very pleased to support the Club.
Thanks to the ladies match committee for another excellent job!
