Gosnells Bowling Club has four synthetic greens, which are recognised as being among the best in the State.
The original grass greens were gradually replaced by the highly acclaimed Australian made Trimax Pro 12mm 30 stitch, which is approved by World Bowls.
All greens have adjacent shade facilities and seating, with lighting available on A & B green.
Funding from the State Government has seen us replace A and B flood lighting with state of the art LED lighting, LED lighting for C Green, plus new seating on the NE ends of A, B and C Greens.
The four greens are similar length, but differing widths:
‘A’ green, installed in 2008, is 36.5m long & 36.5m wide & can accommodate 6 rinks.
‘B’ green, installed in 2008, is 36.5m long & 36.7m wide & can accommodate 6 rinks.
‘C’ green, installed in 2013, is 36.5m long & 25m wide & can accommodate 4 rinks.
‘D’ green, installed in 2016, is 37.2m long & 26.8m wide & can accommodate 4 rinks.
Wheelchair access ramp is available on all greens.
The greens are maintained by a conscientious team, led by Chairman Grounds Tony Greaves, on a weekly basis. Watered fortnightly during summer, the greens are brushed regularly.
